Best time to go to the Balloon Glowdeo

Comparing only the confirmed 6–11 PM event hours with the newest official National Weather Service hourly rain, thunderstorm, temperature and wind forecast. Because the balloons are scheduled to glow at 9 PM, recheck that hour separately before leaving.

Checking the newest official hourly forecast…

This identifies the relatively better weather window within confirmed event hours, not a promise that conditions are safe or that balloons, tethered rides or other outdoor activities will proceed. Follow NWS warnings, Brookdale Farms announcements, balloon operators and local emergency instructions.

Storm-aware preparation

Check the 9 PM forecast separately

☂

Rain and thunderstorms

The relatively better arrival window may occur before the scheduled 9 PM balloon glow. Recheck radar and NWS alerts close to departure and again before the glow.

↝

Wind

Balloon activity depends on conditions at the field, not just the general forecast. Balloon operators and the event organizer make the final operating decisions.

≋

Wet ground and flooding

Heavy rain can leave low areas and rural routes wet even after an alert expires. Never drive through flooded roads; follow closures and local emergency instructions.
