Forecast page health

Separate checks test complete forecast pages, critical ZIP searches, and privacy-safe recovery-screen reports without slowing normal visits.

Forecast page monitoringLive browser check pending

The live ZIP check runs when this page opens in a browser. The separate external monitor continues independently.

Monitoring continuity: The public dashboard is using its independent live provider check. A separate external hourly watch checks MyUSA.us, representative pages, and ZIPs 32159, 08817 and 90210 with a fresh second pass before reporting a problem. The optional stored-results runner is not required for visitor forecasts.

Two-pass self-healing: Any failed ZIP is checked a second time using a longer timeout and fresh official NOAA/NWS data. If the second pass succeeds, it is recorded as recovered and no problem email is sent. If it still fails, the monitor records both attempts and emails the remaining issue.

Problem notification: The external hourly watch notifies Frank only when a second-pass failure, meaningful degradation, regression, or confirmed recovery needs attention. Reports include the affected route or ZIP, failure stage, provider status when available, evidence, and the safest next action. Healthy unchanged runs stay quiet.

Private reporting: The hourly external schedule is connected and retains operational results in the private Google Sheets and Drive reporting system. The public ledger below separately records authenticated release checks.

Whole-site testing record

The release build verifies every public route against its required page contract. Separate rotating checks inspect live pages, while the on-site ledger below reports only authenticated results actually stored here.

No live page-check results have been recorded for this release. This is a monitoring gap, not proof of an outage or a successful live check. Build checks and provider availability are separate; results from older releases are not mixed in.

Release: myusa-next-2026.09.04-r2

Each record includes the page, check time, request profile, result, response time, failed component, retry result, and release ID. No visitor identity, IP address, cookie, or browsing history is stored.

This page always provides direct links to every official source. A live availability result is added when the automatic check completes; if it cannot complete, the last successful result saved on this device is shown instead.

What this checks

The status check contacts sample National Weather Service and NOAA services. Release monitoring also verifies that Favorites can be saved, opened, switched, kept after a reload, and removed. It does not use your location, create a profile, or load advertising trackers.

Important

A service marked available can still experience a local delay. During dangerous weather, follow Wireless Emergency Alerts, local officials, and official National Weather Service instructions.
