Our purpose
MyUSA.us brings local forecasts, hourly outlooks, active alerts, and nationwide radar into one clean experience, alongside air quality, hurricane resources, and official state 511 traffic cameras. Visitors can search by city, ZIP code, or address, or choose to share an approximate browser location.
Our sources
Forecasts, observations, weather icons, alerts, and radar come from the National Weather Service and NOAA. Street-address matching uses the U.S. Census Bureau when possible, while map tiles and fallback location search use OpenStreetMap services. Traffic-camera links lead to official state 511 systems. Source links and attribution appear throughout the site.
Publisher information
MyUSA.us was founded and is published by Frank Scaplen. Frank oversees the site's direction, source selection, accessibility, corrections, and continued improvement. The site is designed to make trusted public weather and travel information easier to use without obscuring where the information comes from.
How information is presented
MyUSA.us reformats official data for readability but does not create official forecasts or alerts. Update times are displayed when provided. Radar and other third-party services can experience brief delays or outages.
Independence
MyUSA.us is an independent, privately operated website. It is not a government agency and is not endorsed by NOAA or the National Weather Service.
Information first
MyUSA.us is 100% ad-free. It does not display third-party advertising, sponsored placements, shopping offers, or paid weather rankings. The goal is to help visitors reach forecasts, alerts, radar, and other official information without distractions.
Weather safety
During severe or life-threatening weather, use multiple trusted sources and follow official instructions from local authorities and emergency management. Call 911 for emergencies.
