Temperatures up to 105 are expected Monday through Wednesday. * WHERE...Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Travis, and Williamson Counties. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 7 PM CDT Sunday. For the Heat Advisory, from 7 PM Sunday to 7 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Safety instructionsDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
